Project for the Wellbeing of Children, Congo

The village of Kabare can be found in DR Congo, within this village there are many children who are victims of witchcraft accusations leading them to be neglected by their families and in the worst cases killed. The luckier children are taken in by community members or relatives.

Primary and secondary education is free in DR Congo however these children are unable to attend as their guardians cannot afford school supplies for them.

Students for Children has therefore funded the cost of 150 school uniforms and shoes for these unfortunate children of Kabare which will allow them to attend education. It is important to help these children heal from their past trauma and empower them to attend education.
